Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. Tolman was cast in the role of a guest on two episodes as romance novelist Abby Berman on The Mindy Show the following year. In 2015, she played an supporting role on Michael Dougherty s comedy horror movie Krampus. Her breakout performance as Fargo led her to decline various supporting roles, such as mother roles as well as best friend and wife. Tolman was searching for more unconventional roles.
